I only gave them one star, because you can't give them no stars, and be able to post your review, but I don't think they deserve any stars. We took our golden retriever who has skin allergies to be washed and cut. When we went to pick him up one of the ladies told us that the dog had skin problems, and that we should take to the vet and have him checked out. We asked her what the problem was, and she said she was not a vet, so she wasn't going to saying anything, but we should take him to the vet and have him checked out. When the other groomer came around the corner with the dog, she announced that he had mange. She showed as two bald spot on on his front legs, one on each leg. We told her that he had a mass removed, and that it was still healing. She told us that that was not it, but she was not a vet, but she had been grooming dogs for a very long time, and she seen mange a lot through the years, and that's what this was. She went into great detail as to why she thought it was mange, and told us that it was contagious and he shouldn't be around other dogs until he was checked out by a vet. It was 6 o'clock in the evening, and we have two small dogs at home. Our vet was closed, and the only vet that was open was the emergency vet. We took him there only to find that he did not have mange, and the spots on his paws were exactly what we had tried to tell her they were. It cost $140 to have him groomed, we tip them $20 because we were so grateful that they had alerted us to the mange issue before our other dogs got it. It cost $170 at the emergency vet to find out they were wrong. That's $330 for the worst haircut, and a very upsetting ordeal. I called to let them know, that he did not have mange, and that they should be more careful when they're diagnosing pets, as our whole household was in an uproar until we found out, several hours later, that he did NOT in fact, have mange. I had to leave a message because they were closed when I called. I just received a call back, from the woman who told us he had mange. She was very rude, and excepted no responsibility for her part. She said that she told us that she was not a vet, and she did, but that was all negated when she told us that she had been doing this for many years and she knew that that was mange, and explain to Us in great detail how she knew it was mange. She blamed the dog for his bad haircut, and told me that most of their business was on referral, so she didn't know what to say. When I tried to speak, she raised her voice, cut me off, then hung up on me. In my opinion, she should only have been calling to apologize, and say that she was glad that he did not have mange, not calling to ream me out because of her mistake. I found them to be very unprofessional, and downright rude. I would never recommend this groomer to anyone.
