Purchased a boat from these guys last year and had a very disappointing experience. Boat had a trim hydraulic leak, which we asked to be repaired. They said they had completed the work but all they actually did was fill the oil. Now they won't return my call (including the owner). There is only one reason a business would not acknowledge or respond to a customer complaint and that's because they know they are at fault.
Be very careful with these guys, I wish I had been!

Jeff Wilson is a rip off artist. Stay clear of him and his fellow scam artists. They will steal stuff off your boat and charge you for work you never authorized. Scum of the earth and not to be trusted at all! I'm sure what goes around will come around for these losers.

I have been doing business with MTC for several years now. I have been completely happy with their sales, repair, and service departments. I also use them for winter storage of my boat. They have always been honest and fair in all my dealings with them. A good friend of mine purchased a new boat from them based on my recommendation, as well. Jeff, Karen and Lou are great to deal with!

DON'T BUY HERE!!!! DECEIVES and RIPS OFF their customers!

Purchased a boat here and assured that boat was in tip-top shape, "Thoroughly checked out and gone over", etc. LIE! Motor dead first time put in water!! Instead of standing behind their word and claims of checking out the boat thoroughly, they charged us $3500 to put in a rebuilt motor!!! MANY other unethical & deceptive business practices and lies. NO paperwork or receipts given to customer until an attorney involved. In addition to $3500 motor, boat required $2000 in other essential items that were supposedly "WORKING" at the time of purchase. Customer could not test due to winter weather but assurance that product was backed by their many years in business. SCAM! This company looks good on outside but rents store front space from another company. Their claim that they have been in business for 30 yrs. is also bogus. Collectively these scammers have been in sales for 30 yrs. Had to file police report, report to Better Business Bureau and hire attorney to sue them! STAY AWAY FROM THESE RIP-OFF ARTISTS!!

The facts in this review are completely inaccurate. This customer purchased a vessel that was 22 years old. The vessel was sold to the customer "AS IS". The fact that the vessel was being purchased "AS IS" was stated on the purchase agreement and the customer placed their signature on the disclosure line stating the vessel was being purchased "AS IS". THE COMPONENT THAT FAILED WAS NOT AN ENGINE; IT WAS A DRIVE. At the time of repair, the customer was given the option of purchasing a new drive or a rebuilt drive. The rebuilt drive would result in a significant cost savings to the customer. The customer chose to purchase the rebuilt drive. The customer was fully aware that the component they purchased was not new and had been rebuilt. The customer received all of their paperwork, including the title to the vessel, in a timely manner according to the laws of the state of Ohio. There was not an attorney involved in getting the customer their copies of the paperwork. The BBB complaint has been listed as "resolved" in the BBB files. The attorney this customer hired to represent them dropped their case once they received the copies of the paperwork from Marine Tech showing the vessel was sold to the customer "AS IS" and that the customer had acknowledged this fact with their signature. Marine Tech Concepts was never sued. The fact that Marine Tech Concepts rents our store front is irrelevant to how we conduct our business. We do not claim that Marine Tech Concepts has been in business for 30 years. We state that we have over 30 years of combined experience in the marine industry based on the experience of the owner and employees collectively.
