Provided by YP.comI just moved here from Colorado and I was looking for another salon that had Aveda products. I went to a girl named Lauren and I LLLOOOOVEE my hair color and cut so much! I got a free hand massage and scalp massage while I was waiting and I walked out of there feeling like a million bucks! I dont have even one complaint. The girl that booked my appointment was so nice and so patient with me ( I was scared to try a hairdresser that isnt my normal girl). I was just so impressed that I had to write a review.

Provided by YP.comAs a Salon reviewer , I did not intend to "review" this salon for a simple re-touch,trim and style. After have been with the best it's almost not fair to do this to a small town salon, a friend reminded me not to pay attention to it's " sort of 2 year re-model" and that the stylists, a few imparticular were very good. After this experience though, with the "snobbish", "wannabe" wealthy socialites I was surrounded by for 2 1/2 hours (and I do not mean the clients), I had to write this review. About $275 later, not only was I astounded that they had the nerve to charge that much but, that I actually paid it. Their skills are mid-level, nothing GREAT and the Salon was in much need of more than an aesthetics fix. On a scale of 1-10 , Sky Salon I give you a 4. Ladies of the salon , and I only mean a few , you are residents of Ventura County, not "The Hills", "The O.C." or any other high "status" city or town and I predict you do not have the bank accounts to match, it's o.k. to dream , but professionally do not let it show to your clients. You look and sound ridiculous. To the owner, who works there daily, has a chair there and no excuses. Have you ever heard of first impressions ? I take it from my interaction with your front staff and "management" you can only afford minimum wage.... these ladies were very nice, but you are in the beauty industry and yes how you present yourself and the effort you put into it is always important, have you ever seen "The Devil Wears Prada" ? If you are going to claim to be a "High" end Salon, have a beautiful website to promote it and charge the ridiculous prices you do ...... clean house.....attend the course offered by UCLA for salon management instead of wasting your time taking classes from other "high end" salons. Have your front staff dress, speak and look the part... it will help with all facets of your salon and also help a client feel better when handing you $250. In the end, I am writing this for the poor unsuspecting residents of Ventura County and will forward it to Aveda as well. Are their reps blind? I mean come on ..... to be affiliated with this salon is almost embarrassing. It has potential, don't get me wrong, but it is going to take the owner waking up and "smelling the coffee" in nice words to turn it around, or watch it go down the toilet. My recommendation, there are salons in Oxnard and Ventura that can "afford" you the same as this salon at a fraction of the price. So what if they exclusively use Aveda!
I hope this helps with you to actually have success Sky....because I have heard the same all over town.
