Since 2011 I have been doing business with Ernest Camera Shoppe. Each transaction has provided sharp expertise, sincere service, and the work done in a timely manner. I have been greeted promptly and courteously every time. I use an old camera, and when I have experienced problems, the owner and the other staff have consistently examined the camera, explained the problem, and instructed me on how to work through that problem if it persists. Their workmanship on vintage and antique photographs is superb, the originals handled carefully and the copies sharp and clear. To be able to use a local vendor I find refreshing!

I thought I would check reviews cuz the guy was so nasty. Glad to see im not alone. Didn't buy right away because battery is not returnable. So told me fine im going to finish my lunch.$40 FOR A BATTERY EVERYWHERE ELSE IS $25. Wouldnt buy from him even if he was cheaper. Plus "new" battery in little plastic bag with no mfg labels.

The guy who owns this place is totally rude. I went there to get my Canon camera fixed, and he wanted 50 bucks just to look at it and not do anything. I bought the camera for under 100. And he was totally rude, and honestly quite weird. It's a tiny camera shop which nobody goes to and he's the only one in there. I felt unsafe.

TOTALLY rude over the phone.....didnt even get me in the store. Will NEVER go there and spend my money. Shame on them. Go to Kinko's, people, they know what they are doing and how to do it.

Would not fix my camera because it was less then a year old and didn't buy it from them !!!!

My first and second experience coming here was horrible, they are so rude. When I questioned their policy about having to pay before I could even drop it off and leave he shoved my camera at me and said "take your crap and leave and dont ever come back here again." SERIOUSLY? You expect people to come back after being that rude to them. I will never visit their again. ever.

I just started looking at DSLR cameras and stopped in to get some professional information. He shows me a $1,500 camera . . although very nice, a bit out of my price range. He didn't really want to show me anything else. I asked about a Nikon J1, he says it's a very nice camera and would probably be good for me. When I asked to see it . . . he closes the display case, informs me that he is short staffed (at this time, I'm the only one in the store), he hasn't had lunch yet and to come back when I'm more serious about buying!!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS . . . blow off a customer for lunch?!?!?

I'll have to think really hard before I buy anything at Ernest Camera Shop . . and that is a shame, I like to support the local small businesses rather than shopping at the big box stores. I just don't know if I can after being blown off like that.

On the plus side, they still sell 35mm film and developing. The only other review was about photo restoration and it sounds like they did good work. This must be where they make their money along with SUPER HIGH END equipment, because I left feeling like a piece of trash.

I took a picture on my dad in which was as small as the picture on your license, I tried blowing it up myself but you could see scratches and white spots from it. So I took it in there and they restored it blew it up to a 4x7 picture for me and it looks so beautiful I'm going back to get more copies made for my mom to frame and give away for Christmas. They do such beautiful work..I would truat them with any of my presious pictures....they are honest and will tell you right up front what they think. and the price is excellent for the service they provide.
