Faulkner’s catered our wedding in August 2015. Most of the food was satisfactory, but the customer service and management were absolutely horrendous. We had been warned that they have a tendency to arrive late, so we had made it extremely clear with them about the timeline. The trucks were to arrive by 2 PM and all loud noises were to be ceased by 2:30 PM because our ceremony was at 3 PM. Our wedding was at an outdoor venue with one way in and one way out, so we didn’t want them pulling in during the ceremony. They agreed to the times, but when the day came, they showed up right as the ceremony was beginning.

Appetizers were to be served at 3:30 PM, but they didn’t begin until around 4:15 PM, which the owner (Deb) REFUSED to believe and was incredibly rude about.

We were promised coffee and this was overlooked, which they admitted to. Water and lemonade ran out before dinner. Cranberry juice ran out early in the night, as well.

Dinner was served 30-45 minutes late, the beef ran out before the last two tables went up (buffet style) and most people were done eating before they put salt and pepper shakers on the tables. Most of the food was good, but the chicken was dry, which Deb also accused me of lying about.

We had a sundae bar, which turned out to be a huge debacle. We had purchased glassware that we wanted to use to hold the toppings rather than the standard containers they come in. Prior to the wedding, we had discussed this and we were told that someone would be out at 8 AM the morning of the wedding. When no one arrived, we called, thinking maybe we had misunderstood. We asked if it would be okay if we set it up on our own. There were three tables set aside for food and we weren’t sure if all would be used for the appetizers/main course. Deb was extremely rude from the second I called and told me that they would set up the glassware (I had previously photographed it the way I wanted it displayed). During the meal, a bridesmaid had asked one of the employees if she could set up the glassware since they were only using two of the tables and she just got a deer in headlights look. The ice cream didn’t end up being served until long after dinner was complete and most people were no longer even in the tent. The same bridesmaid found them setting everything up without the glassware and explained (for the umpteenth time) what they were supposed to do. It ended up looking nothing like the photo and they never did end up using the third table the entire day, which Deb, once again, called me a liar about.

The entire crew (present at the wedding) seemed to be straight out of high school (or possibly still in), which would be fine if they hadn’t all seemed so overwhelmed. No one seemed to have any authority or knowledge about anything when asked. I was told that at one point the bartender had a line of people and he just left for a few minutes because he had forgotten ice. He didn’t even tell anyone where he was going. That said, the crew onsite was great in comparison to management. When I called to follow up after the wedding, Deb was extremely impolite to me before I mentioned a single complaint. I am assuming she had known that they had made so many errors and would be receiving a call.

In the end, we were refunded 15%, but I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone! Save yourself a headache and STAY FAR, FAR AWAY!
