Shawmut Corporation is a privately held company founded in 1916 by Rudolph H. Wyner. The business was first known as Shawmut Woolen Mills. As one of the largest suppliers of foam-in-place laminates and headliner cover-stock in North America, Shawmut is a leader in the automotive industry. Shawmut laminates more than 30 million yards annually on more than 15 laminating ranges, making it one of the largest independent laminators in the United States. The company has a QS 9000 and ISO 9002 certified manufacturing network that consists of Shawmut Port Huron; Shawmut Corporate Headquarters and Technology Center; Omniflex Films; and the sales offices.
