Provided by YP.comI dropped off wild game for processing and didn't hear back until I called them 16 days later, to which hey called back on day 17 and said they'd start processing it the next day(day 18). Dept of Health states 14 days max to age wild game under perfect temperature, they'd taken 18 and I still haven't heard back from them 26 days later. I've since been told this is common practice for them and it was likely sold over the counter, or rotted and thrown out.

I'm an ex meatcutter and x usda meat inspector-retired.Just got off the phone w/them asking about veal cutlets for Easter. The girl was short, rude and hung up once there was no sale, she provided no helpful information when ask. This used too be a good Port Orchard resource.I quess there's been a change in mgtmt.-to bad.

How do you ruin a pig? Bring it to Farmer George! The place is a madhouse, which can explain that they have screwed up every order, and every one of my friend's orders. So when you are the only game in town, you start to think you can do no wrong. So, let's start from the beginning.Customer service. Chaotic, confusing, non-existent. Order sheet, chaotic, and makes no sense. Which is OK, since they usually don't follow it. So you get the wrong stuff, or someone else's stuff.Their cutting/packaging, very poor.I have found bones in the weirdest cuts, that you would never have bones in. 300 lb. hogs with almost no ribs. They don't pay attention to size, so you get a tiny chop with a large one, so portion control is, a pain. Hams that should be halved or quartered, are instead, cut like steaks, how do you carve that?Of course nothing is more fun that defrosting one thing, to find you have something else there (mislabled). Or trying plan a meal for four and finding out the roast you

after years of using farmer george and mostly a ok job, 2 beef a year and 4 to 6 pigs for years and years...we had a problem, not once but twice...then again...first the cutting and wrapping job went down hill, instructions for cutting not followed, wrong cuts, two thick to thin steaks, wrong roasts, just plain lots of mistakes. And then we got part of the wrong beef back. It was VERY clear, which was bad enough but no one would even discuss it...I've been doing this for 40 years and there was no question about the reality of the problem. The ownerships reponse to that, on top of all the bad cutting and wrapping (which also they were nasty about) was enough for me, as in forever....we quit raising beef, and I have one more set of pigs and then we will be out of the raising it ourself, because I can't find another place to go...
