I would actually rate this business 4 stars (or possibly even 3) but one person only is responsible for the 5th star. His name is Frank and I'll get to him in a bit.

We bought a portable generator that we wanted connected to our household electrical system. I had read great reviews about them on several different websites so even though they were, for me, the only game in town, I felt very comfortable in hiring them for the job.

Now, the reason for the 3 or 4 star rating I could have given them was the office. There are 2 or 3 women working there yet none of them seem to think that notifying a customer of important change to a pending job are important. I had the job set up for a particular day/time in a particular week. I'm proactive when it comes to these things and called them to confirm the installment appointment. I was then told a needed part hadn't been delivered to their office and the job would have to be delayed one week. If I hadn't called, I'm not confident they would have called me to reschedule. This week I did receive a call from the office that the electrician would show up between 8-10 am on the day of the job. Well, 10 am came and went and no one showed up. No one called. I called the office, only to be told that the electrician was delayed at another job and would show up between noon and 2 pm. I asked why wasn't I called to inform me of this? She apologized. So, 2 pm came and went. No electrician. At around 2:30 he shows up. And this is when Frank enters my review.

I have a slightly pissed-off attitude as I explain to Frank why I'm pissed-off. HE apologizes for being late but explains he had been working that other job which was a two-man job. He stayed long enough to help his colleague and left after he made sure the guy could finish up alone. How can you stay pissed-off after an explanation like that? Frank showed off the bat he had integrity. I was still a little bit nonplussed because I had been expecting an electrical crew, not one guy. But, that one guy was Frank, and he proved one guy was more than enough.

Briefly, Frank installed an interlock switch along with a generator-dedicated breaker section on my home breaker panel. He also installed a 30 amp outside electrical outlet to plug the generator into. All great work. But, where Frank shined was in the time he took the time to patiently and painstakingly give us step-by-step instructions for switching over from the house electrical over to the generator electrical during a power outage. He explained what to do if the 30 amp generator breaker is tripped. If we were unclear on anything he patiently explained it again. Then we went outside and he gave us the same step-by-step instructions for connecting the generator to the electrical outlet, and the proper way to power up the generator and--even more importantly--how to properly power it down. (Did I mention this is our first generator?) I've talked to a few people about generator operation and he provided important info no one else had given me.

He also told us how to use our garage as an indicator of when the power came back on so we could switch the house back to outside electrical power. He explained everything, even down to the paperwork he left us and what to expect from the county inspector who will follow up on the install job. Frank had a great personality, warm, friendly, and easy to talk to. It was raining outside where we were standing but he was in no hurry to

So, Frank, you're solely responsible for the 5-star rating and for our decision to continue to use your company for all our future electrical wiring needs. We just hope you're assigned to perform those jobs for us again. Scott (owner of George's), I hope you're extremely proud of this young man. He's a keeper.

They are idiots. They neglected to locate the existing service so when they dug the ditch, they blew up every light bulb n power strip along with several appliances. I've been waiting 2 1/2 weeks and still no inspection, no phone call, no nothing. When I call them, I get the runaround. I had to call L&I to find out they waited 10 days before even requesting the inspection. If you need something done quickly, look elsewhere.

Recent Work Done

Had recent electrical work done by George's Electric. After paying in full for the job done in my home. I did some online research and interviewed other Electrical businesses and found out I was seriously over charged. The entire job only took about 2 hours but he charged me over $800.00 for the work done. That is $400.00 an hour. I will not be using them again for any future work. I also found the owner to be rude and uncooperative.

Absolutely the best! Had a major power surge that took out our electrical panel and all our major appliances and the septic pump, Called and they were out almost immediately to assess. Came the next two days and replaced the power panel. Very fast, efficient and reasonable, tidy and informative. Cannot recommend highly enough. Colleen Pease (Bremerton)

PS: This happened 8/19/14 and have recommended them to numerous people who heard about our fiasco and wanted their number. Kudos to Georges.
