The more I look into the community comments on this business the more I understand why they let me go in three days. This company changed ownership a year ago. Doug (Father) & Bryan (Son) are the current owners of this 101 year old Port Orchard Bay street business. Doug is in his late 60's early seventies and his son hasn't lost the cradle marks off his ass yet sporting a mid to late 20's appearance.

I've never experienced being so disrespected trying to find common ground in a new work environment. I gave this place three days of work and they let me go on grounds that "I have anger issues, that I was tossing shit around the shop and using inappropriate language".

Doug is unwilling to challenge his son or ask other employee's in his absence that day to explain allegations levied against me. Long story short, I don't see this partnership going anywhere....Review customer complaints recently filed on many web sites about Brian's treatment toward customers when called from back shop to help at the counter.

I'm a 60 year old retired vet from the Air Force that carved a living after service becoming a GURU of the construction machine and consumer lawn and garden markets...This Father and Son fired one of the most talented and skilled mechanic's Bremerton WA produced who only wanted $16.00 an hour to start....

Don't do any business with thi...

Don't do any business with this restablishment! Their concept of customer service borders on the moronic. I came to this business on a Saturday not long ago only to find that the store had unexpectedly closed earlier than their posted hours. I brought my chainsaw with me, intending to have them repair it, but since they had closed early, i wasn't able to drop it off... until the following Saturday (my job takes me many miles outside of Port Orchard every day). I requested that they provide me with an estimate of repairs before they did any work. When I called them back 11 days later to inquire about the status, I was told that the repair guy hadn't even gotten to my saw yet. I told 'em not to bother, I'll come pick it up and take it somewhere else.

These guys have no concept of the value of time when I need something repaired. The least they could do is give me a call after 5 days. Can't even get to an estimate in 11 days? That's pretty bad. Take my advice and don't even bother, 'cause it's pretty clear they could care less.

money for nothing

Brought in my riding mower starter to see about replacing it. The man that helped me had to be shown the large printed number ON the base three times before he could "find" it in the system. Quoted me $303.37 for the part, cash up front, no returns and no guarantee that it was the actual compatible replacement. If YOU have $300 to just give away, feel free to send it my way. I won't be going back there for anything.

happy with repair, parts and service

I work in the landscape industry. I frequently purchase parts and have repairs done on power equipment. I have always had a better experience than with ANY shop in Seattle. They have always been far faster on mower and saw repairs than 3 shops we use in Seattle. I go out of my way to bring equipment from Seattle by ferry for service. Wish they were open on Sunday. but like me, it is their one day off.

Terrible customer service

I purchased a Stihl weedeater from Penninsula feed on 6/13/13, for $400.00. It is a nice weedeater. But when I returned 10 days later to ask about the extended warranty, I was treated by Doug, with the worst customer service, I have encountered in 10 yrs, in any aspect or industry. That's saying allot. I can not believe they are still in business. I most certainly will not use them again, and I would not recommend them to anyone I know.

Do not give them your business

UPDATE: I have pulled my tractor from their service. Yes I FIRED them.I do not care I have to wait several more weeks to get the repairs done elsewhereI do not care the tractor would be finished tomorrow by Peninsula Feed & PowerI do not care I may have to pay more somewhere elsePoint is ... my dollars, my choice ... I refuse to give my business to a poorly managed business as Peninsula Feed & Power. And yes I met the owner Mr. Endsley ... and as just entrenched as his staff ... I am done with this poor excuse for a business.************************************************Having HORRIBLE customer service ... Waiting for the owner to respond ... and nothing. Take your business someplace else!!! Here is my issue/email for all to read:Sent: Tuesday, August 14, 2012 2:23 PMTo: 'penfeed@wavecable.com'Subject: BAD Customer Service - For the Owners EyesTo the Owner (whoever gets this message, please pass this along to the owner and NOT Doug)-I am not happy with the lack of customer service I am currently receiving on my Cub Cadet LTX1042.I brought in the mower on Tuesday July 24th (at around 9:30am). I was told it would take 10 days to get a diagnosis due to the current wait. I was fine with that. I got a call towards the end of the following week (maybe Thursday 8/2) with the news that it was going to cost us $580 to get the mower fixed. Doug informed me that the parts should be in by the following Wednesday and the repairs could be completed by last Friday. So I waited for a phone call to give a current status. Nothing on Friday, nothing over the weekend, nothing yesterday ... and nothing today. So I decided to call this afternoon.Talked with Doug (your store manager) just a while ago ... and I am NOT happy with his lack of customer skills. I started the call with a polite inquiry of the status of our mower ... his response "We are still waiting on some parts (apparently a spring)". So I asked him when he was planning on calling me with that updated information. He said that is not the policy of the store, and that they never call on updates to the customer who are waiting. That is REALLY BAD customer service. After spending $2,202.41 on 6/30/2009 at your store purchasing our mower ... and then an additional $580 in repairs ... I do not care what Doug thinks is the right level of customer service. I am a paying dedicated customer at your establishment ... and I feel I was given the shaft. Not a very happy customer,David M.P.S. I will resend this message over and over until I hear from the owner.

Illogical Reasoning

I called these guy's once inquiring about the price for a replacement chain for my chainsaw. They said the chain was on special, buy one get one free for $70.00. I told them I only wanted 1 but they wouldn't do it????I said I can get 1 in Belfair for $35.00 and their reply was that their's (Penninsula Feed's) was a better deal because you got 2. The guy couldn't wrap it around his head that it was no better of a deal than the store in Belfair. With Logic like that I wouldn't trust them to mix gas correctly?

Dishonest Business Practices

I dropped off my mother's John Deere Riding lawn Mower Tractor for service. I asked the gentlemen behind the counter to come outside and take a look at the lower damage to the unit. As he inspected the damage I explained to him that we would need an estimate so we could decide whether or not to have work performed on the tractor. He replied that was not a problem. 2 weeks went by and finally I recieved a call from the mechanic. He said that the parts would need to be ordered and I asked him what the estimate of repairs would be and he said just under $200.00 for all the parts & labor. At that time I asked him to have the blades sharpened as well and he said no problem. When I went to pickup the unit the bill was $341.90. I explained that the cost was much higher than what I was quoted over the phone and he said that I was never told "under $200.00" in fact the gentelmen behind the counter told me I never asked for an estimate before work was to be performed. This is simply untrue and h

Condescending

Brought in equipment for maintenance, and felt as if I were talked down to and belittled for my problems. Will not purchase products from there again.
