Provided by YP.comMy wife and I went to the theater yesterday, to see the movie Blended. What a pleasant surprise. The theater was extremely clean. Even though we did not get anything to eat, we were going to lunch later; the seating and tables were nice. Old but clean. On the way out, I made a point to check-out the restrooms. They were "overly clean", as if newly built.
The people who are "trashing" this place, must have an ulterior motive. It seemed to be run well and very clean. They are running the business on a shoestring at $3/ticket. "Get off of their case and support them", they are filling a need. We will be back, they deserve our support or at least true constructive criticism.

Provided by YP.comDon't go there. the management may change what they are showing without warning.I had checked the listing and they had listed a movie that they decided to change and when I went 28 miles to find out that I could not see the movie I wanted. The manager was told this and he insulted me by saying I had looked at the weekend listing and then when I explained where I had seen it and that how far I had come to be disappointed he said,"wow that sucks!"

Provided by YP.comOver all clean. Looks like they are in the middle of a patch n paint job? We went hungry and paid almost $5 for chicken tenders but had to pay extra for BBQ sauce?? We got them served to us to find it was literally 2 chik tenders cut into pieces.. NOT even enough for my 4 yr. old, had to order more food... Would go again to see a movie, but will definately EAT FIRST!!!

Provided by YP.comI for one was actually thrilled that the show was open again. Cannot understand why people are willing to pay more to see a movie as soon as it comes out. I do not mind waiting to see it. There will always be critics and that is the way it is. I will frequent the show a lot more than I did in the past.
Thank you for re opening. It is a shame to see so many empty seats. The way things are today you would think you would do whatever you could to save a few bucks.

Provided by YP.comI am so excited that we may have a clean, friendly place to go see cheap movies......FINALLY!
I saw some activity over in front of the old Embassy theater so I stopped to see what was going on. (It had closed because the former owner was a nasty, mean-spirited man who didn't really care about how clean his establishment was, nor about the quality of the food products he served. The reason his business failed is obvious to anyone who had been there.)
I met the NEW OWNER, a really nice guy, clean cut and with a firm handshake...lol...and he told me that his family had purchased the theater and were opening it back up!!
I have been trying to get the correct phone number so we could see what was playing, movie times, etc, so we could go check it out.
I will post a review once we have been to a movie there!!
AFTER VISIT:
The theater is open and the new owner is NICE!!! Movie prices are $3 per ticket, and they have a deal where for $7 you can get you ticket AND popcorn AND a drink...that is about what you'd pay just for the ticket in a first run theater! They are still working on the place, so the general look is the same except that is is cleaner than it ever was with the old owner. My nephew and I went to see Ice Age 3, and we had a great time! One of the little nice things is that they use styro cups so my ice in my soda never melted, and the bottom didn't get soggy like the wax-paper cups do. We had popcorn and a drink, watched our movie and left happy, vowing to go back again soon...
Vast improvements!
Thanks Dover family!!!

"We want this to be a place for families. We want them to be able to take the kids out and not have to spend an arm and a leg." Jason Dover, new owner of the six-screen movie theater across from the GulfView Square Mall on US 19. (as quoted in the Pasco Times section of the St. Pete Times, page 5)
