At the beginning of a new year, I often imagine Gods divine hand compassionately wiping my slate clean and uttering the words recorded in Revelation, Behold, I make all things new! It is refreshing to accept Gods permission to start anew, without regrets, leaving the heavy burdens of our past in Gods hands. In our congregation this letting go leaves us free to engage again in the wonderful work of discipleship. The year 2011 in particular has the potential to be especially significant for us at King of Kings. As many of you know, we are at work discerning our future and re-casting our vision for ministry. As has been outlined in more detail else where in this newsletter, we began a congregational visioning process in Advent that will continue through Lent to Easter. Very wonderful congregation mixed with young and old. Pastor Steve has very inspirational sermons. Also a fabulous band and choir. Come join our Boomer Parties, we meet once a month at a members home and bring a dish to pass. We are hosting a Concert on January 24th with Paul Todd and Paul Todd Jr. Paul is a critically acclaimed prolific writer, entertainer, composer, arranger, and singer. He began his career opening for Amy Grant, the Pointer Sisters, Rich Little, and Joan Rivers.
