I had a fab shop in chicago 40 years when I go to STR for at least a drop a few feet long, I get lost in there looking around thinking what can I use this for, or I can use this to make that witch I don't need yet, but I will. Oh yes the people there are helpful and polite.

Rude management and employees. Can't manage to even follow their own rules. They keep downgrading your scrap, so they can pay you less. I found other recyclers that are more honest. The others even tell you if you have graded your scrap too low, which I did based on my experience at STR.
I will never go there again.

ignored at the counter....let some lady in front of me and the employee talked trash for 10 minutes

S.T.R Scrap Metals paid the best prices for my recyclables. Their Surplus Aluminum and Stainless Steel store on premise has many items at great prices for purchase. The owners and staff have always been helpful and friendly to do business with. I highly recommend them !!
