UNPROFESSIONAL, SHODDY workmanship and ridiculously high pricesI I brought in a brand new gown for them to hem. The gown had a liner and a beaded chiffon type overlay. Three weeks later I pick my dress up, try it on at home with my shoes and realize that the right side of the dress is 3/4 to an inch shorter, than the left side. The hem sloped from the right to the left. With the left side being the correct length!! The cut of the chiffon material was jagged and completely inconsistent in length. Some sections were rounded, and others were a straight cut! The vertical seams going down the dress, that were cut through at the bottom, were not reinforced and were already coming apart. Bring it back the next day. These were the exact excuses from the seamtress: "If the hem is lopsided than that is the manufacturers fault, I followed their line", "We are very busy", "I have been working 75 hours a week because of prom", "Because of the folds in the dress it was difficult to cut". UNBELIEVABLE! After another fitting they measured and pinned the hem in an attempt to straighten it. The dress is now going to be SHORTER than I wanted, but obviously I am stuck with the butcher job or throw my brand new $350 dress out! Still not ONE APOLOGY from the staff! Picked it up the next day. Brought it home and was shocked to see that the liner was now hanging out from under the top part of the dress in places. Only in places because the hem was STILL not straight!!! The seamstress cut another inch, or inch and half, from the dress but did not bother to address the liner that is now longer in places than the overlay. This is suppose to be a professional shop? Spoke to the owner who didn't introduce herself when she answered, and refused to give me her name even though I asked multiple times. I introduced myself immediately but she just rudely called me "lady". She went from speaking in a heavy hispanic accent, to the accent disappearing halfway through the conversation. Who does that and why? So unprofessional and disrespectful to a customer! She said I had a bad attitude (you think? you ruined my dress) and was yelling at her (I wasn't. She just wasn't hearing what she wanted to hear) so she was not refunding my money and that I accepted the dress, therefore she did not have to do anything. She then hung up on me. Karmucha's Alterations is the most unprofessional, and immature conversation I have ever had with a so called business owner! I was warned by multiple people that they thought the business had changed hands and not to go there. That their prices had skyrocketed and the workmanship had tanked. They were so right!

worst experience ever. pants were altered so short, i had to keep sending them back to be fixed. and to think, they were the ones measuring everything. waste of time and waste of money
