The Port Washington Historical Society has business files, photographs, personal histories, maritime histories and much more. Their friendly volunteers assist Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops and other community groups. They have books, DVDs and a Power Point presentation that put the local history at your finger tips. Port Washington tourism flourishes because of the rich history of the area and the Historical Society along with the citizens, the City Departments and other community groups helps increase awareness.
