The Delta Area Economic Opportunity Corporation is a private, nonprofit organization that is governed by a local tri-partite board. The corporation offers several community-based services and a Women s Health Care Program that includes weight and height determinations, blood pressure measurements, hemoglobin testing, breast and pelvic examinations, specialty treatment, screenings for diabetes and cholesterol. It initiates services in collaboration with other community services agencies and organizations and churches and is also available for educational presentations. The Delta Area Economic Opportunity Corporation offers services related to emotional, social, health, nutritional, educational and psychological needs of low-income households.
