Established in 1970, Moraine State Park offers a variety of environmental and interpretive programs. The park serves as a venue for hiking, biking, horseback riding, picnicking, swimming, boating, wildlife watching, windsurfing, fishing and hunting activities. Located in Portersville, Pa., the park includes group tents, cabins and camping facilities. It maintains a pavilion that has a seating capacity of more than 100 people. Moraine State Park also offers a variety of winter activities, such as ice fishing, skating, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. The park organizes educational activities, guided walks and evening programs. The Moraine Preservation Fund and the Moraine, McConnell s Mill, Jennings Commission are volunteer organizations that support the Moraine State Park.
