We came in and asked if we could do a return on some shoes we were gifted. National chain, no big deal, right? The manager actually wouldn't even discuss it, just said dismissively that "we don't carry shoes" and WALKED AWAY FROM US. Can you believe it??? Sure, it might not have been worth her time to deal with the shoes, but we were also in the market for a new vacuum and some mattresses that day. We left and went elsewhere.

The staff is unfriendly, preoccupied and lazy. It's a mystery how they are able to stay in business. The staff never seems to be able to answer questions about the limited products that are carried in the store. The Sears name and reputation have gone the way of the dinosaur, especially at the Porterville location.
