I have been a AAA member for 7 years and have rarely used their roadside service. I ended up running out of gas right in the center of Gray, Maine. I immediately called AAA because all of my friends and family were atleast 45 minutes away from me and at work. I had my 5 month old daughter in the car with me and it was below 32 degrees outside. I told the service representative this. They told me they would put a rush on it and would be there within 45 minutes. After an hour, and still no sight of them, I called again. They apologized and told me 15 more minutes. I continued to call them every half an hour when the AAA truck never came. They continued to tell me the truck was "just around the corner" or "almost there" for almost 4 hours! I knew I should have called family but I believed the service person when they told me they were coming. Eventually I called them crying because I feared for my daughter's safety in the cold. Their answer was that they could call the police and child protection services could come take her. Not exactly what a mother wants to hear. 4 hours after my original call they finally came and gave me gas. I wanted to make a complaint, they never called me back. When I call them they say they lost my complaint and need my information again. They have lost my complaint twice now and no one has called me from their customer service center like they told me they would. They have only aplogized, and dont seem to care about safety and efficiency at all. Honistly it sounds like a bunch of kids work there, I heard they will hire anyone. I will not be renewing my membership with them, nor do I suggest other people do business with them
