Arrived in Portland, Maine airport with an Enterprise rental scheduled for pickup on Oct 20. Everything looked fine until we went out to the garage and no one did the usual inspection walk around with me. While walking around myself, I saw an Enterprise guy and asked if he was going to do the walk-around. He said that they did not do that at that location, that they inspected the car before they brought it down. Seeing no damage, I got in the car and drove away. Uneventful weekend. The car was mostly parked at the hotel. I drove north for sightseeing several times. Car performed well. On Sunday morning, about 5:30 AM, I returned the car to the airport. No parking spaces in the Enterprise garage. I asked one of the guys there what to do. He told me to leave the car parked perpendicular to other cars and drop the keys in the box. I did that and got my receipt. Today, a young woman from the location called to tell me about two bumps, one on the drivers side and one on the bumper. She was writing up the damages and attributing them to me. Of course, I complained. I saw no damage when I returned the car and no sales person walked around the car as per normal. If I get a bill for damages that I did not create, I will sever my relationship with Enterprise and never rent from them again.
