great customer service, nice and very helpful. My car (dodge challenger) had a lot exterior damage, scratches on it. I kept it because I wanted to test drive it for future purchase.

Our experience with Alamo at the Portland, OR airport was great. Staff was courteous, professional, and got us in our car and on our way in a very timely manner. Check in was equally smooth. Would definitely choose Alamo in the future!

I have not had a problem with Alamo both times that I rented from them. Once was in Fairbanks, Alaska where they provided a block heater plug for the freezing temperatures. The second time was in Oregon. It's a great rental place for the price that you pay. The cars are nice, and the staff is friendly, plus you can use the kiosk to check yourself in, print a confirmation and grab a vehicle (as the keys are in the vehicles).



I’ve also travelled with other people who were using Alamo in Seattle. We still had no problems with them.



Only one of the two counter employees were very persistent in trying to upsale items such as, insurance, gas refill, radio, gps, etc.

When I rent a car, I want it convenient and friendly. I got both from Alamo at PDX. They did not waist time. They gave me a great price! The checkout was easy. The check-in was even easier. I like Alamo.

Fast and easy process picking up and dropping off was a breeze! Great customer service. Made for an amazing vacation in Portland!

We were pleased with the service provided by Alamo. The price was great. Impala ran smoothly, plenty of leg and trunk space. When we returned the car the staff unloaded our luggage to the shuttle for us, but broke the handle on one of our suitcases. The driver apologized saying that it was too heavy and that caused the damage. We were very disappointed as the bag was very pricey and not extremely heavy and there was no offer of compensation.

We were strongly encouraged to purchase an upgrade because of the road conditions in Oregon. We did not upgrade and the ride was fine. We were strongly encouraged to purchase the roadside assistance since there was no spare tire provided. We find it beyond crazy not to provide a spare. We did not make the purchase and thankfully had no issues. When we returned the car to the Alamo site to be transported to the airport, we were met by an attendant that told us that the transport person did not show up for work so we would have to drive the car to the airport and turn it in to another rental company there. We were not happy as it was very early morning (still dark) and we were not familiar with the roads. Although the rates were lower than some car rental companies, we will question whether or not to rent from Alamo again. We have never had issues like this with other rental companies.

I received a partial refund, not sure why. I paid for a full tank and didn't use it all, maybe that had something to do with it... Sales guy tried super hard to get me on insurance, told me a rock chip would cost me $1000 bucks, and that the roads were gravely. I didn't see a single piece of gravel the whole weekend.

We have rented from Alamo for years. The cars are always great and less expensive than the other places we've tried. Unlimited mileage is the best.

Service was fine. Car was clean and staff was friendly. The problem I have with this company is that when I returned my car they swiped my card to compensate for fuel. No problem with that because I used the fuel. The problem I have is when I recieved a bill in the mail asking for $35 for fuel that I already paid for at the site and I have confirmation on my bank account that it was paid. The letter that I received from them also was quite threatening because it had verbage in it that threatened to ban me from renting cars with them or their parent companies (enterprise). I just think that they need to get it together on the billing side of the house before sending out false bills.

I visited my sister in Salem Oregon and needed a car rental for eleven days. So after searching on the internet I discovered Alamo had just what I was looking for in the right price range. I truly enjoyed the whole experience from the booking online to the picking up the car at the rental place. I was very pleased with the Dodge Charger I rented. Lots of room and great gas mileage.
