Albertsons Distribution Center, located in Portland, Ore., is one of approximately 20 company-owned distribution centers throughout the United States. The 834,000 square foot Portland facility is a full-line warehouse that stores dry goods, produce, deli foods and meats. Its products are distributed to Albertsons retail grocery/supermarket stores in the western United States. Its parent company, Albertsons Incorporated, is traded publicly on the New York and Pacific Stock Exchanges under the ticker symbol ABS. Together, the Albertsons group forms one of the largest retail food and grocery chains in the world. The Albertsons grocery concept was established in 1939 and maintains headquarters in Boise, Idaho.
