Provided by YP.comWe have live in Estacada and every time the wind blows it seems to knock out power at least for a little bit which made us concerned for our snakes and ourselves. If the power goes out in the middle of a snow storm we would all freeze, even with camping gear we can't keep 10 or more snakes, salamanders, spiders, guinea pigs, a rabbit, dog and the humans warm. So we wanted a wood stove. About $700 for install, but Buck doesn't install he just sells the stoves and equipment and contracts out. He does talk a lot and answers phones but he is running a business but keeping it personal. In this day of cell phones and atms it's actually nice that he sits down and personally asks what we want. He didn't try to sell us anything over what we wanted, except a blower fan and I am still not sold yet. Great price, I budgeted $4000 but we didn't even tell him that until the end but he was spot on.
He knows his stuff so if you go into a shop where the guy selling you the fireplace looks like he is selling you a car turn to Buck. From the second we walked in and were greeted I didn't feel it was fake or that we were going to get screwed out of a lot of money. If you are too stuffy to like tattoos, colored hair or genuine people you should go find yourself a salesman who will sell you a top of the line piece of crap. If you want a good priced stove and you don't want to be screwed out of money I strongly suggest you call Buck.

We put one of Bucks antique stoves in our backyard pavilion. We love it! Buck and his crew were great! Buck dealt with us fairly and professionally, his crews were on time and very capable. We could not be happier with our wood stove from Bucks! We have already referred several of our friends who ended up going with Bucks. Thanks again Buck! You are the best

I couldn't be helped any better than by these guys. I bought a stove for the cheap from some other dealer but I will never do it again because I felt so guily so sucking them dry for help. I bought the sleeve from them but they exceed what they had too. Buck gave me his own tools and told me to return them 3 days later. NO deposit no nothing just trusted me to return what was his once the job was done, I needed one tool too finish the job and that TOOL is Buck. WOW they are the best

Wonderful Service!! Searched all over Portland and Vancouver for a specific stove part. The part we were looking for was a used blower fan and not a high ticket item, but you wouldn't know it by the level of customer service we received. Buck went way above and beyond typical customer service. We will definitely go back for any future stove needs.

Went in to the store (which is vintage eye candy all by itself, for sure) to find a new wood stove. Buck took the time to show us all types and explain their features. We settled on a Hearthstone brown enamel that fit our place perfectly. Even got my old stove recycled there. (may not be what happens all the time but the stove we had worked for that).Love this place. Would refer anyone who wants a freestanding wood stove or insert. They have gas stoves and inserts as well.

I've dealt with Buck's for several years. He's an eccentric, one of a kind treasure who knows the stove business inside and out. His prices are at or near the bottom end, so I no longer price shop. Every time I did, Buck's was where I ended up getting the parts or stove I wanted. He loves to "deal" so you feel like your dealing with a merchant in a foreign market. I love the ambiance and adventure that awaits behind the doors of his "palace."

I bought a house with one of Buck's stoves in it and didn't know how it worked. Stopped at Buck's and a man came with me to show how it worked - that same day! He was friendly, professional, and clear. It cost - get this - $1.00. These folks have a neat store, great stoves, and are obviously interested in service. You won't go wrong witht them.

In October 2010 my husband and I decided it was time to replace our 20 year old wood stove. Buck came out to our home (not in his neighborhood or even the same side of town) on a Saturday night to have a look at what we had. He cleared up many questions we had about not only the best stove for our situation but also installation. We are completely satisfied with the stove we purchased. Buck is very knowledgeable in stove knowhow. He is more than willing to help you and give you all the time you need, even when that means you are able to install the stove yourself which means he is out the payment for this service. Make sure and stop by his Palace on a crisp fall day when the stove is going and keeping fresh delicious pastries warm on top. Just a trip around his store is a history of all things stove related. Oh, one more thing, Buck also loaned us a cart so we could move the stove as well as took our old stove for recycling. Many thanks Buck for Million dollar service!

When I was looking to buy a wood stove I visited several stores around this area. All of them were helpful but Buck was willing to help us with every aspect of buying and installing our stove. It can take a little while to talk to Buck when you go into the shop, but that's just because he's helping someone else and is giving them his full attention.Today I went in to check on the price of a brush to clean the chimney for our wood stove. I wasn't planning on buying the brush, I just wanted to check on the price. Buck talked to me for probably 15 minutes about how to go about cleaning the chimney and talked me through dismantling part of the stove to be sure I'd do it right. Every time I've been into Buck's store I've gotten great service. It's obvious that Buck knows all about stoves and wants to make sure his customers make wise decisions about buying a wood stove. I'd recommend his store to anyone that needs a wood stove or just advice about one.
