My boyfriend and I weren't sure if the shoes we'd picked were what we were looking for, but the salesman told us we could return the shoes after "a couple of weeks." When we tried to return them, the owner told us they only gave refunds within the first week after a purchase. When we tried to get a further explanation, he threatened to call the police if we didn't leave immediately. I can't even remember the last time I was treated so disrespectfully.

If your looking for a place that really understands how to fit a shoe this is it.They have Excellent Service Excellent Shoes and know how to deal with any problem you might have. The first time I walked in they looked at the shoe I was wearing and knew what type of problem and pain I was having in my feet. After I walked out with a proper fitting shoe the pain and problems I had were gone.I haven't bought a pair of shoes from any other store sense!

Wonderful Service!

Bill and his wife provide wonderful friendly service. I wear a brace which makes finding shoes very difficult. Bill goes above and beyond trying to find shoes that will work with my brace. Most other shoes (much larger stores) will just look at my brace and say that they can not help me.

Highly recommended

After going to Cobbler Bill's on the recommendation of a friend with "difficult" feet, I discovered that some other friends have been going there for several years. I can see why, after being fitted for two pairs of shoes. I've never been so comfortable; Bill knows how to put inserts in just the right place to correct problems. They have been uniformly friendly and helpful, and unfailingly courteous, even with another customer who appeared to only want to find the right pair of shoes, and then buy them somewhere else.

Do not shop here. I purchased a pair of Kumpfs here on sale last week. I expressed a question about the fit of the shoe at the store and the owner assured me they were a great fit. They were on sale for over $100.00. I expressed concerns about the fit at the store and he insisted they would be great. After wearing them at home for 20 minutes the buckle broke and I was walking out of the heel. In all fairness they did say final sale..when I called him to express my concerns..he accused me of deciding I didn't like the shoe, and said he would put more padding in it. I said I didn't want shoes that were too big stuffed with padding and he was extremely rude and basically said too bad. I can't think of a retail experience where anyone has ever been this rude and he basically wound up telling me to give the shoes to goodwill if I wasn't happy..so much for customer service!

Thirty years ago I had my sneakers resoled 3 times before they wore out. I had not been able to find a place that would fix the soles of my shoes to save landfill space (while living in Vermont or Salem, Oregon). A co-worker suggested Cobbler Bill's saying he could fix any shoe. She wore dress shoes and I am a sneaker/hiking boot type. It took me a year to get in there and I am delighted and show off my shoes to anyone interested. He put thin Vibram soles on my sneakers and thick Vibram soles on my hiking books. They even put soles on my favorite sandals!! They will experiment with all my favorite shoes, although they made me pay in advance the first time. I always pay in advance now because they give you 5% off.I will be bringing in my son's shoes next because I have almost cleaned out my closet and repaired all my favorite shoes I refused to throw away!

I recommend this business.

The owner seems very knowledgeable about shoes, and the employees take the time to make sure you get the right fit. They are pleasant and provide good service.

Shoe fitters aren't the same as show salesmen!

When I went to Cobbler Bill's for the first time, I was shocked to find out I'd been wearing the wrong size shoe! They are highly skilled and trained shoe-fitters who explain more than you thought you'd want to know about your feet, which is incredibly helpful. They understand feet and they know how to fit shoes onto feet that will be comfortable and support daily activities. My feet are much happier since they met the people at Cobbler Bill's. Plus they have killer socks. I've been going there for 5 years and because of their reliable and friendly service, I'll continue to go back. They far exceeded my expectations.

Cobbler Bill was my "first" experience

My daughter introduced me to Birkenstocks over 10 years ago, and I haven't been back. My first Birkies came from Bill, and several after that. All of my Birkies get repaired there, even though there is a bit of a wait....but that's ok, that means they are popular for fixing shoes, as well as selling them.######My only complaint is that they don't sell a larger selection of Birkenstocks, but they do have a larger variety of other brands...which I have to venture into one of these days (but I know my feel loves the Birkenstocks-I'm leary of trying others).######Sometimes it is quite busy in the shop... a bit of a wait to get served...but again, I think that only shows that they are there to help you the best that they can to get you into a pair of comfortable, well fitting pair of shoes.######I highly recommend them....and this comes from someone who used to NEVER pay over $20.00 for a pair of shoes, who now pays close to $200.00 for them (ugh) and I'm feeling the need for a new pair n

Cobbler Bill's

This is a good store for problem feet. Bill does know how to fit folks to decrease the pain in their feet but no one else in the store seems to be able to accomplish the same results. If they had the training that Bill has this store would be very, very busy indeed.
