I have been doing business with them for 12 years and as soon as I walk into the store 99% of the time a rep will come up to me and ask if I need any help finding something. If I buy a big bag of food someone always carries it out to my car. They don't have a very big selection of fish tank filters, but other than that, I have no complaints.

Provided by YP.comThis is not a big corporate pet store. Their prices are comparable to those big places. Benefit is that people at Creature Comforts actually know about animals. Every time I go in Creature comforts they are super nice and helpful.

My job is with a large retail organization and I visit our facilities at least every two weeks to observe our employees and customer care. I happen to purchase most of my fish and cat food and supplies from Creature Comforts. I don't critique other businesses but I am so appalled at this store I couldn't help it. First of all it is dirty and mostly from the tropical bird dander from the birds that are not for sale. Haven't figured out how a store can have upwards of 20-25 birds and maybe three or four for sale. Then we have inventory or lack thereof. I have three large fish tanks and the store has hardly any fish filters, filter replacements, food supplies, etc. for months. And no one can tell you when they will have any. As a two fold customer, cats and birds, I now take my business to one of the two Animal Houses or a new little fish store in downtown Milwaukie.Either Creature Comforts doesn't care about customers relations or they just plain are having a tough time in this economy. The third factor are the employess and the owner. Weird people for retail. The main guy there is a curly haired rude individual who tries to be funny to cover up his attitude. The fish guy in the back acts like he can't stand anyone. Like a customer is the world's biggest bother to him. And the owner, talk about a sour puss, she acts like it's a huge bother also to deal with you. She walks through the story with a look that she's about ready to ream someone out or beat up on them. Amazing they've stayed in business for thirty years or so. Easy to rest on your laurels but sooner or later the old attitude and poor service catch up to you. That type of service in our stores would last about two minutes.

I went there once and a man that was down on his luck asked if the owner had any samples for his dog. The owner went outside, looked at the dog and he was a big dog and gave the man a big bag of dog food for free!! we need to support businesses that support our community! That was so great!!

The customer care was very good. My only complaint is that their tag machine was still broken and they didn't know when it'd be fixed. Other than that, it's very accessable and they have very friendly reps. Clean and stocked store as well.

Great Selection of products for the dog in your life. Even had life jackets for our large dog.
