I called in the AM several welding shops to do a small aluminum repair on my moped. Everybody wanted $100 plus and I had to leave it. Mr. Curtis took my call, said he took a fall and said he wasn't working today, maybe tomorrow. Went to Airgas only to find they recomended Mr. Curtis also. They said no job too small & if it could be fixed he'll fix it. I called back to Mr. Curtis only to ask him when he thinks he'll be up & working. He said he's up, sore but moving. Told me to bring the piece for repair by his shop. He looked at it, ground a little aluminum to clean and fit correctly. Did a great repair on a precision piece the kick start lever rides in. It may break again but not where the repair was done. Took it home, installed the springs, lever & gear reduction unit. Works perfectly. Excellent price, excellent work & very friendly enviroment. Couldn't nor wouldn't ask for better. Thanks Ron Curtis.

I am a large disabled 57 year old man in a power chair that can barely stand at all and in the apt I live in the toilet is 4 incjes from the wall on one side and 4.75 inches on the Vanity side. Don't know about you but my legs are bigger than that; let alone my caboose! I went to Ron at Curtis Custom Welding and asked him to modify this hospital sized kamode so I could use it as it has a bar accross the front making it nearly impossible to sit on and use at the same time. Ron cut the frame as I requested moved the legs in front so I could use it and when it was fininshed I spray painted it with primer and Krylon white and his welds were better than the factory ones were when it was new!!!Now I can use the damn ting and am one seriously happy camper. bThanks Ron you're the man.

I went to Ron to have something done for my 60" flatscreen, because all the TV stands out there were so dull. I'm no artist, so I just sketched something up and took it to Ron. They looked at my idea, added some great suggestions of their own, and then they got to work. It was amazing what they put together in just 48 hours. You can't even get stuff delievered from a catalog in 48 hours! The finished product was awesome, 100% unique, and very reasonably priced. I will go here again for any metalwork.

We came with an intricate soldering job for an expensive Lucid Absynthe dispenser. Not only did Ron make the repair while we were there, but he did it for us on a Sunday afternoon. (And, oh how we appreciated that.) Best of all, no one will ever know it had needed repair!

The reviews were good so I gave this guy a shot. Bad choice. The job was to weld two small pieces that were part of a camera tripod modification. The work was shoddy - burn marks and drips of material all over the piece. There are great blobs of material at the joints - not a smooth or clean job at all. I did better in 7th grade shop class. The piece was also damaged - a chunk taken out of one of the edges. And I was also charged for the removal of some glue that did not interfere with the weld areas. When I brought all this to Mr. Curtis's attention - almost two months ago - he offered to refund part of my money. I agreed to the offer and sent him an address to send the refund to. That was over a month ago. No refund has appeared and he is not responding to e-mail. This is adequate time to respond to the issues and he has chosen not to - if he does respond, I will modify this review.
