Emily Fernando, MSN, CPNP-PC, is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner with Providence Children’s Development Institute. A specialist in pediatric growth and development, she sees children with developmental delays or concerning behaviors for autism or developmental issues, as well as children with feeding difficulties and infants who require follow-up after an NICU stay. “Navigating our health care and education systems can be challenging and confusing,” she says. “Advocating for these kids and helping them get all of the services they need to thrive is so rewarding.” Emily is a graduate of Purdue University School of Nursing and earned her master’s degree as a pediatric nurse practitioner at Vanderbilt University.
