I have eaten here at least once a month in the last 3 months and I love it! I had never eaten Ethiopian food before, but the owner Eneysh was wonderful in explaining the food and how to eat it. I like mine spicy and she offered which dishes I would prefer. Forget the fork! Use the bread and your fingers, it's a great experience! The restaurant is clean and has a nice atmosphere. There is a bar upstairs so you can have a cocktail at night and don't forget the Thursday night Karaoke.

As far as Ethiopian food in Portland, this is one of the best. Atmosphere, however, is a different story. The nice thing is that you can usually have a nice quiet lunch or dinner. The dining room is small and not usually full. The food is very good and can be quite spicy. The Mudai Combo is a great choice, also a combination of the Vegetable Combo and the Tibs Lamb. MMMMmmmm.
