Established in 1990, Markham Elementary School offers a range of educational programs to more than 350 students in kindergarten through grade five. Its syllabus includes English, mathematics, science, social studies, language arts and music. The school administers Title I, English as a Second Language, and gifted and talented programs. It also operates a parent-teacher association that conducts several fundraising events and programs. The school maintains a library and media center that stocks over 10,000 volumes of books and periodicals, as well as features nearly 15 computers. The school employs approximately 20 staff members, including a psychologist, speech pathologist, child development specialist and paraprofessionals. Located in Portland, Ore., Markham Elementary School is a part of Portland Public Schools, which governs various elementary, middle and high schools.

Markham Elementry School has lots of exciting things, both acedemicly and just for fun. Like dragon parades, volleyball games, spelling bees and lot more! Also people from all over the world come here. People from America, Germany, Asia, and also other places. I'm glad that i can go to markham and have lots of fun at the same time.
