Problems with Customer Service...

I have had wonderful experiences at natural Furniture. Specifically with the female owner of the store. However, I was floored by the immense disrespect I endured on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the hands of the owner and staff of Natural Furniture located on 800 NE Broadway St, Portland, OR 97232.First, my furniture was delayed by more than a month, which was not a huge problem and not their fault. The female owner provided my husband and I with a $65 refund for the inconvenience. However, when I called for a status update on the new delivery date, now 11 weeks after we first purchased our set, the sales clerk was incredibly rude, as if it were my fault there had been a 5 week delay due to my order being forgotten/misplaced/left behind the first time!!! Frustrated by the horrible encounter with the sales rep (I, too, became testy towards the middle of the encounter due to her poor customer service) I called to speak with the owner to express my concern regarding her appalling behavior. The male owner, Richard S. returned my call 30 minutes later, but I missed it. He left a voice message (I wish I could attach it to this review!!!!) where he (the owner) literally cursed me out on my voicemail!!! And told me that my husband and I are not welcomed at his store any more! HE USED EXPLETIVES!!!!!!!He never heard my concerns. And of course the clerk had explained her defense before I could share my concerns. I called him back Thursday night. We played phone tag until the following day, when I explained to him what happened. He let me talk. He never interrupted me. I let him talk- it was a pleasant exchange. He thanked me and said that his clerks are not professional sales people. He also went back into the shipment explanation, which I could care less about. All I wanted to know was whether or not the bed was on the freight train this time, because last time it wasn't and my son is sleeping in the spare bedroom- not his room. He explained that his wife had confirmed that it was on the freight. I thanked him and let him know that I was writing this review, that I had submitted a complaint to the better business bureau, and that I had placed this statement on all of my social media outlets. I also let him know that I would take his advice and never return to his store and I apologized for becoming testy with his clerk towards the middle of the conversation. I should have been a bigger person. I'll never return to this store and as long as they continue to employee terrible, teenage staff, I would advise you not to shop there either!
