Michelle has experience in ophthalmology, mental health (Oregon State Hospital), urology, group homes, assisted care facilities and skilled nursing facilities. She graduated from Oregon Health & Sciences University and continued her career in nursing in orthopedics, trauma, hematology, oncology, stroke, medical, surgical and finally finding her love in cardiology. She managed the Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit for years before moving over to industry. As a Certified Clinical Research Professional, Michelle conducted clinical trials for medical device companies at hospitals around the country under FDA guidance. Michelle was trained as a American Heart Association Trainer in 2007 and decided to open NW Life Care in order to fulfill her love of teaching and helping people learn lifesaving skills. Michelle's education style philosophy includes a mix of experience trainers, hands on practice, video interaction, student return demonstration, open discussion toward understanding, and training confident emergency medical responders. She is married and has a beautiful daughter.
