I am generally pretty understanding and forgiving, and it doesn't take a lot for me to be kosher with where I live. Heck, I've even been o.k. with working in the projects in NYC. However, I've hit my limit with Weidler Plaza - It has been a horrible experience. I was patient and understanding with the coach roach infestation that was my moving in surprise - even though it took two months for them to make a dent in the population, and they were never able to figure out why there were so many roaches waiting to great me when I moved in. I have been understanding with the many maintenance requests that never get fixed. It was concerning that a homeless guy was living in the storage area/laundry room and that they didn't find time to clean out the large pile of dirty clothing and other items that he left there (3 months later still hanging out). However, I've hit my limit. It's not a safe place to live and when I've brought up serious concerns management pretended to care, then blew me off for over a week, and then "resolved it" by sending me a demeaning letter. I got corned in the secluded entrance to the laundry room, on a Saturday morning, by a group of three people who were trying to break in. Management hasn't even responded to that concern. Also, there has been a big creepy looking guy who keeps looking into my windows in the middle of the night. The apartment manager even told me that if it was her that she'd want to be out in less than two weeks, but the owners just blew me off, wrote a demeaning letter, and basically called me a liar. Please save yourself the frustration and live somewhere else where it's safe. The only positive thing that I can say is that I got some more arm definition from having to kill so many roaches.
