Rude and Unprofessional

Will we never deal we these people again. Last Monday 12/29 I ordered parts for my bmw that I desperately needed the next day so my son could drive back to Florida so I had it overnighted. I called at 8am with my Amex card, phone number, and email address to purchase a water pump. At 5 pm when I called them because I had not received a confirmation saying the order was shipped I was informed by Dan saying that the transaction had been declined by Amex. Upon learning this I called Amex to find that they approved the transaction at 8:06 am that morning. I called back again and spoke with Dan, he didn't want to hear anything about it. I said that I would give him a different credit card so he could ship the part. He told me it was too late although it was roughly 5:30 and had plenty of time left before the FedEx cutoff.

I called dan the next morning and he informed me that they had received an email approval from Amex at 6:05pm the night before. After calling Amex they stated they had given BAV auto at 8:06 am on Monday an approval and that Susan had called in and asked Amex to do a second verification because she suspected fraud. After she called in, Amex sent me email that there was possible fraud with my CC which I promptly called Amex to explain and remove the fraud alert.

When I arrived home after calling BAV auto

On Tuesday when I spoke with dan as to why they had started a fraud alert I was told it was do the amt of money and the part being shipped to a different address then my billing address. This is absolutely ridiculous since as a used car dealer who sells a lot of BMWs, I have many parts that are ordered sent to a shop and have never had a problem. Dan was very sarcastic and barley let me speak as to what Amex told me about Susan calling and essentially putting the order on hold and then not contacting me to resolve. When I asked why they didn't call me to state there was an issue and ask for a different card I was told that it was their policy not to contact the customer about fraud. I finally received the parts two days later but too late to service the car before my son had to return to Florida. After speaking with the owner David I was basically told he didn't care either. In business it should be the customer who comes first. Perhaps your employees and company policy should change to accomodate the person paying just a little more. And apparently since they did get paid by Amex for a total of more then $500 there is no issue with my standing at Amex. I will however NEVER purchase from BAV again and I will be sure to tell anyone else who buys BMW parts not to shop there either!

Bavarian Autosport orders

I believe they do have more marketing power noe and tend to ignore small customers. I ordered an exhaust and a suspension kit and its almost the 3rd month that I paid for them and so far, no update as to when are they gonna ship it. I was told that the parts are coming from Germany from a shipping container but still if they are being ordered promptly I dont see a reason why it would take 3 months to get my order. My recommendation for BMW car owners is to find another online retailer that would care for their moneys worth. Customer service is terrible and there was no solid explanation and apology why the process is this horrible. They dont advertise on their catalog that waiting times will be this much if parts are coming from Germany. I am a regular customer but with this current situation, I will no longer be one. I had the option before to go with other vendors, but that was my mistake.
