Provided by YP.comI DO NOT plan to return to this salon ever! I visited this place twice, and I can honestly say that the pedicures I've received here are the worse I've ever had. I don't feel as though I'm overly particular. I expect any nail salon to give me a good wash, massage, and polish this is of quality, which are basics of any real pedicure.
First off, the customer service was OK, and I didn't have to wait long. They didn't go out of their way to make me comfortable, but they weren't rude either. However, during my visit, I did have a problem with the actual massage and pedicure. To begin with, the massage was practically nonexistent. It was over so fast that I wasn't even sure that I had really received one! I did go an hour before the salon was to close, but if they are open I still expect to receive service as if it were the first work hour of the day! Secondly, the color choices in polish were so limited and dare I say it...CHEAP! When I was getting my polish, the technician could barely get the color to show on my toes! I had to ASK for a second coat of color which is usually a given! The color looked so patchy. The worse part was that the pedicure didn't even last! My pedicures usually last for a month easily, but my polish from this job was chipping within 2 weeks!!!
I didn't want to write the salon off too soon though, so unfortunately I chose to give them another chance and $20 more of my money. Again, the same less than mediocre results.
HOWEVER, this is the absolute worse part of my encounter with this salon! When I removed my polish after my second visit to this salon, I realized that both my of my big toe nails had a mild fungus! So not only is the service bad, the salon is also unclean! I have always gone to a salon for my pedicures, and I have NEVER EVER had this problem. I am so disgusted! I read the reviews on this site first, and chose to try it out for myself anyway. DO NOT waste your time or money! Please! I am still trying to clear up my nails! =(

Provided by YP.comI don't know why some people have such horrible things to say about this place. I've been going here for over 5 years and always get good service. I've tried every nail tech in the place and all of them do an excellent job although some specialize more in certain things. My favorite tech there is King Kong because he's always nice to me and does an excellent full set. If you don't want to have to wait for bit, come on the slower days the beginning of the week because most salons are busy in the weekends. I think you can also make an appointment with the techs too. I've been doing that with King Kong for years and it's worked out great. I went there just this past weekend so unless things have changed drastically, I say go there and see it for yourself. Hands down, best nail salon in the portsmouth area.

Provided by YP.comDon't waste your time!!! Flies everywhere, dirt floating in my pedicure bowl, and the establishment is just as dirty and nasty as the attitudes I received today. They're lucky I even paid. The wait to get anything done was horrible. The customer service was the worst I've ever seen anywhere. I question the validity of any licensed proffesional that would pass this place in any inspection that concerns cleanliness. The nail technicians could care less about how long you wait and they definitely don't care about doing a good job. All in all, I'd go back to walmart on frederick way before I'd ever go back to "beautiful nails". This place is a joke. Grossed out!!!!!!!!!

Provided by YP.comI have always been to this nail salon on Twin Pines Rd and I have no problem with it. Matter of fact, this salon is the best place I have ever been into. Before I came into this salon I had been in other salons and its a horrible jobs they do. Also, they are not friendly like the people at beautiful nails. Whoever write bad about this salon is not true. It don't matter if you give good tips or no tips at all. Its first come first serve and if they have appointment then so it is appointment go first. If you would like to make appointment then give them a call ahead of time to make appointment before you show up. I see so many ridiculous customers. They do take appointment everyday. There is no such thing as they don't take appointment on Sunday or weekend or weekdays. What a lame excuse. If they do you wrong why don't you talk to them? to Tom ? Just like where ever you go if you have a problem with someone there... talk to their manager / supervisor... to resolve the issue. Don't just go around and bad mouth about them. I'm a customer there for over 10+ years and I don't have a problem with them. Everyone I had recommend to them have no problem with them neither. Just this one particular had issue.

Provided by YP.comI understand that business want to make money. I visited this place for years to get a pedicure. I usually go on Sundays. I was told that you cannot make an appointment on Sundays; however, your service is on a first come first serve. I waited patiently for an hour for KIM to do my pedicure. I was excited that my turn was next; but another patron walked in the door and Kim stated "she has an appointment and I will do you next." I was very upset because she did not make me aware of the patrons appointment and I waited for an hour. I find that Beautiful Nails serve their consumers in the order of your TIPS and Looks. My money spends and looks like all patrons. I am compelled with thoughts why do we invest our time and money in nail shops that has the worst customers service. I am writing to save all consumers time and energy. If you want good customer service DO NOT INVEST YOUR MONEY!!!!
