love it

My son goes to BSCA and loves it. He often comes home singing songs that he learned at school and his vocabulary is amazing. When I go to pick him up, he is looking at a book or playing at a center and doesn't want to leave. All of the teachers are friendly every time I'm there and they seem to know everyone, children and parents alike, by name. His teacher is always able to give my husband and I a detailed report of my son's behavior and actions of the day. The waiting list is long so get your name on it early if you are going to be in need of child care in the next 6-9months.

Descrimination

My wife has worked at this facility and my one year old daughter has also attended day care here. The administrator is totally against her workers being pregnant, she allows children to continue attending after they have shown violent behavior including kicking, biting and using foul language. The head teacher in the infant room can not read or write, and falls asleep while supervising the children at story time. There are times in which no one in the building knows C.P.R. which is a state law requirement. My wife has been the only teacher in one of the rooms with 15-20 two or three year olds at one time. My daughter has come home with numerous bruises and bite marks that were unexplained or had a very breif reason with no real detail as to why it happened. My daughter was constantly filthy upon pick up from the days activities. One of the teachers who weighs 200lbs plus has sat on a childs legs to make them stay in their seat. Some of the teachers have been seen surfing myspace instead of taking care of the children. There are railings on the playground that have been unrepaired for quite some time now all that holds them together is tape. One of the former teachers is a known stripper in the Norfolk area. I hope this has been helpful to anyone thinking of enrolling thier child here. This facility seemed great at first and we had almost no choice because it is the only facility that takes children as young as my daughter, but in hind site it was a bad decision. Also just to let you know most of these facts would not have been seen if my wife had not worked there. Thank you for your time.
