Provided by YP.comI never left a veterinary hospital furious before I went to Churchland. I took in a dog with diarrhea and a cat who needed a dental cleaning. I knew what services I wanted and was basically hoping that this would be a more affordable alternative to the great but cost prohibitive vet we'd been seeing. They were able to fit me in for a same day appointment, which I really appreciated. However, I felt like I was being interrogated by the technician when she was taking a patient history. It made me feel defensive. When she took my cat, it her carrier, to "the back" for a weight and temperature, she was gone way too long. Meanwhile, I heard people in the waiting room talking about what sounds like my cat. She returned with my cat in her arms and I realize that she had been carrying her around without my permission. Had she asked I would have said no. I pointed out to her that I have other cats at home and that I try very hard to keep pets as isolated as possible when at the vet so that they don't bring something home with them that makes the others sick. I was very upset about this, it's basic disease prevention protocol. I then had to ask her to go get my carrier. This could be a very long review and so I'm going to try to sum it up. The vet and the tech could not handle either of my animals without forceably restraining them, which of course makes them nervous and badly behaved. They tried to sell me products that I did not ask about, I was offered expensive solutions to problems with simpler answers and I was referred to in the third person as "mommy" and "we" throughout the visit. It was extremely off putting. Neither the vet nor the tech made any effort to gauge my knowledge level, which is well above that of your average pet owner, and in the end I said that it did not seem like they would be able to provide me with the service I came for. I spent $170 for 2 exams, a fecal, and something to help with my dog's diarrhea. The quote for the dental cleaning was a range that was more expensive than the first quote I had. I feel compelled to point out that this vet was one of three who examined my cat's mouth, including one later the same day. He was the only one that had a problem getting her to sit still and allow him to get a look. There may be vets at this practice who I would get along with just fine, but I will not return. I was looking for a practical clinic and not boutique medicine. I found one with the vet I saw later that same day.

Provided by YP.comI was looking to get a dog and a friend recommended this clinic once I got one. Not only do they treat my Sookie girl they helped me find her. I can be a worry wort but all of the doctors at the clinic make me feel at ease and answer ALL of my pestering questions. When I walk in the door the girls at the front desk not only know me but they remember Sookie too. Dr. Wassell always remembers my baby girl. The entire staff is warm and welcoming. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!

Provided by YP.comOur family moved here 2 1/2 years ago from out of state. We have relocated 3 times over the past 15 years. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats that we deeply care for and are part of our family. Churchland Animal Clinic was highly recommended to us from several people in our neighborhood for our pets medical needs. I will say that throughout the many years our pets have been to several vet clinics, but the vets and staff at Churchland are absolutely fabulous. This is hands down the best clinic I have ever entered with my pet.

Provided by YP.comStay away. This vet office does not care about your pet. They care about making the most money off of you that they can. I took a perfectly healthy Pembrook Welsh Corgi into the office to have a cyst removed and 2 weeks later we had to put her to sleep. After spending $1200 on the tests and surgery they told me there was nothing they could do. When I called to ask for an appt. to put her down they informed me it would be an additional $90. We went to PETA. They put her down for free. This dog was (as most families dogs are) a part of our family for 12 years. I will never go back to this vet nor would I suggest it to anyone.
