We've missed Ray's off of George Washington for several years and the Soprano's in Newport News for great strombolis. Unfortunatey, they both went out of business. So, after a nice bike ride, we decided to try Sals. Yep, it's a real off- NYC, Mom Pop pizza place. The family size stromboli made an extra take home meal for the two of us and it was fantastic. We tried the chicken, mushroom, green pepper version. We agreed to return to try their pizza or take advantage of their delivery service. I'm really pleased we have such an authentic NY pizza place in Portsmouth.

Best pizza you will find for miles! I will never go to another pizza place as long as I live in this area!
