Provided by YPmobileThe Vet, Phil Chitwood did not do a simple test for parvo on my 18 week old puppy and now my puppy passed away. I took my puppy to him on day two of his symptoms and told the Vet everything wrong with him. He looked at him and checked him out and tested him to see if he had parasites, he did not. Vet said he is in good health and give me med to help control his vomiting. (This was a Friday) The following day I took him out with the family (day 3, no food and water) to a sporting event and he started passing blood from his rectum. We called the Vet's emergency number when we got home and he said to give him gatorade bring him to the office in the morning because he was out of town. My puppy got to the point where he stop swollowing. My wife and I found a different Vet the was near us, so I rushed my puppy to this Vet and told him everything like I did with Phil Chitwood. The new Vet said it sounds like parvo so he tested for it, it came back positive. At the point my puppy had a 105 temp, dehydrated, continuous bleeding from the rectum. I knew and the vet knew that he wasn't going to make it but I asked the Vet to do what he can to give him a fighting chance. My puppy passed on the table.
I recommend the Vet just outside of Red Oak between Red Oak and Fanshawe. Hulsey Veterinary Service 2576 NE 10th Ave Red Oak 74563. 918.471.8767 (Dustin) He spoke to me in terms that I understand.
