Provided by YP.comI Called Borden Appliance Repair to have my 2 yr old samsung refrigerator/freezer repaired. I was told that my compressor was bad and not worth repairing despite the fact it had a 25 yr warranty. I was charged a $103.88 service call. I signed that their service was satisfactory believing they they knew what they were doing. After the repair man left I went on line and followed the troubleshooting guide and set everything to factory specs. My refrigerator now works perfect. I text Borden right away and asked if the compressor was bad how could the refrigerator be working and that maybe it should be checked again. Mr. Borden responded they would look into it and get back to me the following Monday. I did not hear from him so I text him again and let him know how impressed I was with his repair ad but very disappointed with his service. I was charged $103.88 for very poor service and extreme bad advice. I feel they should have told me that they don't really do repairs on samsung refrigerators before they came out.

Provided by YP.comCalled them to look at my washer, which i told them had a pump issue and would not drain because i did my research. Instead of them actually opening up the washer and looking at the pump to see if it was clogged the just hooked up their little computer and ran a diagnostic...
"your pump isn't working" was their response with a $75 bill. Thanks! i already knew that and told you that.
Quoted me at $331 to replace the part when the part costs $50-$70. Thats a lot of labor and something i'll just have to do myself now that i found an easy video for repair. Oh....and they said we would have to drain the water out of the washer ourselves before they would change out the pump...NICE
On top of all this the guy was very rude over the phone when i questioned why they didn't bother to actually look at the part and said it's usually the part that needs replacement. If you research this online, it says oftentimes the pump gets clogged very easily with small clothes.
Won't ever go back to these clowns and i would advise the same to anyone else. They want to stick you with that $75 service call.

4/25 - Drained the water, tipped over the washer, took out 3 screws that attached the pump and BAM! Low and behold there was a bib stuck in the pump. Pulled it out, ran a cycle and what do you know?...it drained water perfectly! $0 fix.
I guess it was the 0.1% chance that we fell into. Pays to check out the parts before just going with a full replacement. The diagnostic test just doesn't cut it.
