Dan gets to know his clients and learns their life patterns to produce a home that provides room for family gatherings and personal reflection. Traditional. Many of the firm’s projects involve renovating homes and designing suitable additions. Daniel Contelmo Architects is sensitive to the existing structure; they research traditional styles, when necessary, to maintain the authenticity of the home. Drawing from appropriate historic styles, the firm creates an enhanced version of the original house – additions give the illusion that they have always been there, or a progression of structures suggests that they could have been built over time. Whether a new construction or an addition, each design tells a story.
