Provided by SuperpagesNo stars! This company delivered to my home missing items, broken items and delivered items that were not mine. They refused to rectify the problems and avoided my calls. They never picked up the two items that were not mine. To make matters worse on my move. There were two movers in the truck when one appears out of no where in a vehicle stating he comes in to help the guys, which he does but they are also stealing your smaller items and putting them in that guys car. Guys this is what happened to me. If you have movers telling you they are getting additional hlep, make sure you have someone wathing your truck at all times.

Provided by SuperpagesMy kid waited for nearly 60 days for delivery (contract expired on 06/24 and delivery wasn't made until yesterday 08/09) and then only after repeated cancelled deliveries and no shows by the movers. Her furniture didn't even leave Florida until yesterday morning. They would not offer any answers, only lies and broken promises. They offered $100.00 off the cost of the move and when we balked at that amount, they told us to sue them if we didn't like the 47 days beyond the contract expariation it took them to make delivery. We have turned this entire incident over to several Federal investigative agencies (they are located in NY, and the move originated in Florida) for a follow up criminal investigation. With any luck at all charges will result, and a class action law suit is soon to follow.

Provided by SuperpagesEastern States is a corrupt, incompetent, negligent company, not to be trusted for moving or storage. While building a new house we stored our belongings at Eastern States facility in Poughkeepsie (which we were never allowed to enter). We paid the $245 monthly for a year (more expensive than most storage facilities) because Eastern States touted their climate control conditions and we possess a precious console Steinway, in the family for many years, which we wanted protected. When the movers arrived to unload, a number of items were scraped, gouged, soiled.; fine dishes packed well in boxes marked fragile were smashed; piano had obviously been kept open, the keys were dirty, 5 keys stuck, the piano out of tune. Climate control? I doubt it. One of the boxes of dishes was damp! Books mildewed. The worst offense was rodent urine and feces on a number of bathroom and bedroom linens, chewed bathrobe, dogfood and mice turds in the wicker dresser drawers. Some items were never delivered.

Provided by SuperpagesI haven't heard from this company for a month since I filed for insurance claim.I hope this review will prompt them to respond back to me. I have over 70 items that were scratched, dented, stained, broken, scrapped, and gouged. I hope they will resolve this soon.Update: 9/18/09I have not heard any response from Ray Pacella who is the owner of Eastern States Moving. The crazy thing is that Ray was the one who instructed me on how to file the claim. The claim paper was mailed with delivery receipt and was signed on 7/23. Why won't they just let me know what they plan to do?
