In 2013 we hired BSD to build us a personal desk-top computer.No bells or whistles. It took almost a month and it cost just over $800. I picked it up from his home office late on a Friday afternoon and when I got it home and installed it, it didn't work. I immediately contacted him and he told me he was leaving the next day to go on vacation , so I'd have to wait two weeks to get his help. He never at any point mentioned his hours or policies to me but did say that he did house calls and limited remote repairs I recently contacted him and asked if he could come to the house to check and repair the computer and he told me I am too demanding and that he doesn't want to work with me.It seems that after you've paid him to do the initial build, he really doesn't want to help with any repairs. His follow through is poor

In 2013 we hired Randy to build a personal desktop computer for us. No bells or whistles. We paid him just over $800 and I picked it up from his home office at 3:30PM on a Friday. When I got it home and hooked up it did not work, so I contacted him and he told me that he was leaving for vacation on Saturday and could not come to help me until he returned in two weeks. He does not state his business policies or practices anywhere and because he works directly out of his home, it makes it difficult if you need to drop by to discuss anything in person. He did tell me in person when I picked up the computer that he makes home visits and also does limited remote repairs, and yet on 9/22/14 when I contacted him to schedule a home repair, he refused claiming that I was too demanding. Seems his business for the customer ends after you've paid him a lot of money to make the computer for you. Be careful if considering using him; poor follow through.
