Provided by YP.comBeing relatively new to the area, my wife and I were looking for Pre K for our son. We asked a friend who has been living here for some time. Mon Ami Academy came highly recommended because they had a daughter who also attended Mon Ami and they loved it. We took her advice and enrolled our son and found out for ourselves what a great place and environment to send our child. They have a wonderful staff. Mrs. Gail, Shemica, Mrs. Nikki and all the other teachers were a joy to work with. They provide a safe, fun, loving and caring environment for the children and I can attest personally to the preparation the Pre Kindergateners get. Our son was ready and well prepared to enter Kindergarten after leaving Mon Ami. The Administrator at Powder Springs Elementary told us personally how well prepared the kids are coming from Mon Ami to enter Kindergarten. We Highly recommend Mon Ami Academy for your Precious Little Ones. Keep up the good work ladies.

Provided by YP.comMy wife and I searched far and wide for a place that we would be comfortable with. My daughter was very young at the time and we were sceptical about leaving her with anyone. We made the right choice. Mon Ami is the greatest . There isn't much you can say about good people once you have seen how genuine and dedicated they are. Keep up the good wok and excellent service.

Provided by YP.comA great place for your child to learn and grow. My son currently is enrolled in the Pre-K program here at Mon Ami Academy, he started in their daycare program. The Staff and Teachers are wonderful, they keep you informed of your childs progress. They also have a great summer program for school age children. It feels great as a parent knowing you are leaving your children in a well structured environment and you don't have to worry while you are at work.

Provided by YP.comMy daughter is currently in one of the pre-k classes at Mon Ami. She loves going to school there and the teachers love having her there. They make us feel like we all are family. They have taught her so much. This was her first interaction at any type of daycare her whole life so we were scared when we started looking for a pre school. We checked several schools in the area and when we left Mon Ami my daughter said she loved that school and wanted to go to class the next day. She gets sad when it's weekends and when we had a week off due to snow all I heard all week was how much she missed school and her teachers. They are great, this would be a great choice for your child. We will be sad when she goes to public school but she will continue to attend the after school program at Mon Ami.

Provided by YP.comI knew Mon Ami Academy was going to be the school for my child way before he was born. I called occasionally and spoke with Miss Shemica and she was always pleasant and informative, which was my first impressions. On my first visit, Mrs. Gail, the center director, dropped what she was doing and gave me a tour and information session about the center for over an hour. She gave me a second tour and information session when I brought my husband. I was very impressed and enthused by her attentiveness and effort to make sure all our questions were answered.
My son has attended Mon Ami Academy since he was 11 weeks old and I can’t say enough good things about this center. The infant teachers Mrs. G. and Miss Shannon are awesome. My son practically clings to Mrs. G when I come to pick him up which says a lot. Not only has this staff helped my son develop but they have also helped me develop into a more confident mom. For example, the staff has always encouraged me when I was hesitant in taking the next steps such as moving to table food, drinking from a cup, potty training, etc. There encourage helped me because as new parents my husband and I were extremely inexperienced and lack knowledge and confidence at times.
I also like the fact that my son is in a school setting atmosphere. I have watched him develop from a 11 week old infant to an toddler that listens, follow directions, talks, plays, and learns through association and assimilation. I can always tell when he has learned something new because he will mimic it when at home.
The children at Mon Ami are always happy and well loved. Mrs. Gail is strict, but that is a good thing. When it comes to my child I want someone who is strict and aggressive in making decisions and laying down the law. You do not want someone who is lazy or who doesn’t care about the operation of the center or the well being of the children. Although, Mrs. Gail is strict she is a true softy at heart and he shows in how the children respond to her. My son always want to stay with her as well.
Additionally, I travel occasionally for my job. When I travel, I am at peace and do not worry because my son attends Mon Ami Academy. It makes me feel good that while I’m off states away he is in the BEST hands at Mon Ami. In fact, on several occasions on return from my business trip my son did not want to come with me, which is ok. He wanted to stay with Mrs. Gail and Mrs. G. That was a sure indication that he was in the right place.
Lastly, I must say that I’m extremely thankful that my son’s school and home away from home is Mon Ami Academy. Considering my husband and I do not have family in the area, Mon Ami is our family and they take wonderful care of my son and it shows in his attitude.

Provided by YP.comStaff and teachers are very friendly and stern which I appreciate. I have realized that it does take a village to raise a child and I am pleased with any guidance and all the assistance I recieve. It is like being home you have nuturing love, consequences for actions, as well as guidance. Our son loves it and is excited to go each morning.

Provided by YP.comThis is a school with Teachers who care. Most of the teachers have been there over 10 years and have GREAT experience. I was ALWAYS welcomed to speak with my child's teacher and the Director if I had any concerns or questions. I may not always agree at that moment, but in time I realized they were all working for my child's BEST interest. I had considered moving to be closer to family before growing our family. I now feel comfortable enough with the teachers that I will take a newborn there for care all the way through PRE K:) Thank you to the Mon Ami Family for all you did and what you continue to do daily.

Provided by YP.comThis is a great daycare center. The Teachers take special care in making sure parents are informed about their child’s progress. Teachers are focused on the your child’s education. The pre-k does an excellent preparation for kindergarten – behavioral as well as educational. My son loves all of his friends and teachers and comes home everyday excited to tell me about all the fun he had that day.

Provided by YP.comWhen I was looking at preschools in the area, I dropped in on this one. One of the teachers was screaming at one of the kids in my presence. They asked me to come back to speak with someone some more, but that was all I needed to see. If they'd do that in the presence of a parent visiting, I wonder what happens there when no parents are around.
