How does electrolysis work?  Each hair is treated with a single use, individually wrapped, pre-sterilized, disposable probe. The very fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle, alongside the hair. A low level current is then applied, destroying the hair's root, papilla and surrounding hair growth cells, causing the hair to loosen.  What is electrolysis and how does it differ from laser hair reduction?  Electrolysis is permanent hair removal. It's the only method of removing hair recognized by the American Medical Association and the FDA as permanent hair removal for all hair and skin types. Unlike laser treatments, electrolysis attacks the hair follicle from the inside, destroying the hair growth cells in and surrounding the follicle. As a result, the follicles ability to regenerate the hair is permanently eliminated. Electrolysis is not depentent upon skin or hair pigmentation. Therefore, whether your skin is light, olive, or dark and your hair is black, blond, gray or red, electrolysis is 100% effective!
