Not a Foo-Foo Gym :)

Locally owned and operated and despite its initial appearence you will find the owner and members family like and friendly. This is a gym for everyone who is dedicated to really improving their health a and not just looking for a sterilized, commercial, don't sweat too much gym. P.S The "Combato" classes offered there are top rate for real world self defense.

FILTHY

Filthy environment, absent staff, OLD equipment, limited accessibility, strange odor, very unprofessional and un-kept.

Typically the 'seniors' that work out at Champions love this 'old school' style gym because it's where they can really focus & get in a 'real' workout. The seniors that see the equipment as 'old' are the 'pseudo trainers'that would rather be comfortable rather than do the kind of physical training that truly keeps them structurally & physically healthy & sound. Those type of seniors prefer the kind of workouts that generally get them no where. They also seem to be name droppers that prefer Brand names & 2 day certifications, rather than experience, impirical knowledge, education & effective training. Some of the Equipment @ Champions has been purposely modified to function in the most effective & productive for the human anatomy. These pieces will never be replaced. New or brand names aren't always better, Their are plenty of gyms in town with televisions for 'seniors' to be 'comfortable' enough to enjoy a nonproductive workout. I am a senior & i love my gym and all that it produces ie. health, friends & a family like community
