I needed my water pump replaced and some stripped threads tapped, so on a recommendation I looked up H&F Foreign Auto Repair. Called on a Monday to make an appointment. Frank said he would have time on Wednesday to do the job so I dropped off the car early that morning and waited for the call I was told to expect.



It was finally ready Friday evening. When they handed me the bill, WOW! sticker shock! Almost $300. I've seen other reviews that say his prices are reasonable. And I even supplied all the parts, except the bolts. What did I do wrong?



Two weeks and maybe 30 miles later - low and behold the water pump was leaking. Almost half a gallon of coolant had leaked out by the time I noticed. Took the car in again and with barely enough time to get back home received a phone call that there was nothing wrong.



When I picked up the car, I said 'I hope that water pump doesn't leave me stranded with my two kids in the back seat.' Apparently Frank didn't like that because his response was 'you can fix it.'



After the amount of money I paid him... Grrr. In the end, I had to reinstall it correctly myself. Boo. I paid a lot to fix some stripped threads.



Apparently Frank doesn't stand behind his work.
