Refused to help a an out of town motorcyclist (with a valid prescription) unless I 'ordered a couple boxes' of contacts from them. Pure extortion. What am I supposed to do, drive 125mi back to Prescott to come collect them? To add insult to injury, the woman I spoke with had a bad attitude and basically told me since I wasn't a customer of theirs, she could care less about by predicament. Never have I come across such inconsiderate behavior.

Dr. Goood, Service Baaaad

I've gone to Eye Doctors most of my life, and Dr. Williams is by far the friendliest, most thorough and educational doctor I've ever been to. I even go to him despite the fact my insurance is not contracted with him.

BUT...The sales clerks/opticians leave something to be desired. "Fred" was the optician who helped me purchase my glasses. He checked my insurance to see what they covered as far as frames and lenses. After he did, he said, excitedly, "You have coverage! Go pick ANY FRAMES YOU WANT." I asked him, to be sure. I said, "Wow, it's all covered? That's a lot better than my last insurance, I alwasy had to pay extra. He nodded and repeated "Go pick any frames you want!"

And I DID! I picked a lovely pair! Fred entered all the information to order my lenses and such, and told me that my total would be $278. I questioned him, "I have to pay that? I thought you said I was covered." He said, "I said you have covereage." I told him that it was very misleading for him to tell me to pick any frames I wanted, incinuating that everything is covered, and not correcting me when I verified.

I work for a Professional office, and we deal with insurance benefits on a daily basis. If I ever intentionally led our patients to believe that they wouldn't have to pay anything, we wouldn't be in business.

Needless to say, I'd go back to see Dr. Williams, but I will take my Prescription elsewhere.
