Provided by YP.comWorst experience I have ever had to deal with regarding my animal. I felt lied to and scammed out of money from this business!! I personally would NEVER EVER recommend this business for my animal! Not if you value your babies and your money!! Oh and guess What, this business threatens lawsuits if you put a bad review On. Doesn't try to resolve issues, rather sue someone in his community!!

Never had a worst experience!! Talked me into a procedure, paid for procedure, then next day changed the price on me, added hundreds more to what I already paid. Dr. Ford, would not fix the issue, at all. Instead, Dr. Ford, threatened to sue me for a negative review. Maybe he should solve problems, not threaten to sue a family in his community for nothing I did wrong. money, money, money :/

I took my 11 year old Shih Tzu (Shelby) to High Country Pet Clinic several weeks ago and we are totally disappointed with the treatment of our pet and the follow up care. Dr. Fernandez (unfortunately) was working the day we brought our pet in for a checkup. He was extremely unfriendly and unprofessional and really didn't seem to care that our pet wasn't feeling well. He prescribed Prednisolone and Antibiotics to help reduce Shelby's low grade fever and poor appetite. The vet tech on duty went over the dosing instructions and sent us on our way. We were supposed to give her 0.3 ml's of Prednisolone orally every 12 hours for 5 days, and then 0.3 ml's every 24 hrs. for 5 days, then 0.3 every other day until gone. There wasn't enough medicine in the container to make it 3 days so we had to return to the clinic for more medication on the 3rd day! We were also administering 1cc of Doxycycline once every 12 hours for 14 days. We went into the office on Saturday and the doctor promised to follow up on Monday, he didn't. Someone from the office did finally call a week later and we told them Shelby was doing better.
Within a week of completing the medication Shelby started to develop bumps on her right side. The hair in the affected areas also started falling out so I stopped by High Country Pet Clinic on 12-29-15 to talk with the doctor. I was told Dr. Fernandez had left the practice! I described our problem to the receptionist and also asked why Dr. Fernandez had prescribed Prednisolone to our pet for a low grade fever! We had done a little research and found out that Prednisone & Prednisolone can cause a lot of issues in pets and humans. Fever wasn't even listed as one of the symptoms Prednisolone should be used to treat. It's mostly used to treat skin irritations which our pet didn't have before visiting High Country Pet Clinic.
The receptionist said she would talk to the doctor (he was in surgery) and called me later that day. After speaking to the doctor she called to let us know the doctor recommended a follow up visit to do blood work and check out the rash too. I asked if I was going to be charged for the visit since I felt they had created the issues we were having and she said she would see if Dr. Ford would check Shelby out without charging an office visit. She called back a short time later and told us Dr. Ford wouldn't check our pet out without charging another fee. I let her know that I had no confidence in High Country Pet Clinic at this point and if I was going to pay for another visit it would be at a more reputable veterinary hospital. I asked them to make Shelby's records available so we could give them to another doctor. I also reiterated that they had created this issue and I couldn't understand why they were unwilling to help us. She said Dr. Estevan Fernandez had left for personal reasons and they had none of his contact information. I took my sick pet to High Country Pet Clinic and trusted them to have a competent DVM on staff...I didn't know I was going to end up with a doctor that had personal issues and a vet clinic that refuses to stand behind their diagnosis and follow up treatment. It's easy to hide behind a doctor that has disappeared! I will be reporting this to the Arizona State Veterinary Medical Examining Board. Thanks for nothing High Country Pet Clinic!!

Provided by YP.comDr. Ford is FABULOUS. I was going to another vet who I liked very much but High Country Pet Clinic was closer to my house so I went in with 3 dogs to meet him. The first thing I noticed was he got down on the floor with each dog and went over it. Two hours later, yes, that's right, 2 hours he spent with us, each dog had gotten a comprehensive examination, his conclusions about the procedures necessary for one of the dogs was identical to what I had been told by my previous vet. He is friendly and professional. His staff likewise is friendly and professional. We discussed things such as diet, shots, different protocols, etc. and while we didn't agree on every point, there was respect for the different views. He operated on my dog and cleaned her teeth. His charges were in line, she had no reactions of any kind and I am thrilled with them and feel lucky to have them so close to my home.

Even though I live next door to another Vet, I come to Hi Country Pet Clinic. I would drive miles if I had to. This Place is the friendliest, most professional, most caring place in town. They genuinely care for my animals. Thank you Hi Country Pet Clinic. Keep up the great work.

I've only been there twice but both times the main receptionist was very nice and friendly. They are willing to work with you on payment plans if need be. They took excellent care of my dog. Some prices are a little bit on the high side but I'm still willing to take my dogs there.

We have brought our two dogs in repeatedly over the years and Dr. Tebbe is so knowledgeable that he always knows what's wrong even on bizarre cases. One of our dogs was "scalped" by a groomer all along his back and after two month the scab fell off. Our white dogs hair grew back brown. Another vet had tried to charge us $500 saying "I have no idea what this is but lets just throw everything at it". Dr. Tebbe took one look and said you know that will turn white when it grows out. This breed of dog is born brown and turns white as it grows. They are terrific.
