I enjoyed shooting at High Noon before, but now that it is under the management of the Matt and Sherrie Seibert who run Insight Firearms Training, the quality of everything is way up. Also, they are a lot more professional and helpful, and they really make you feel welcome. I cannot recommend High Noon more highly, and I shoot at all the local ranges.

High Noon was sold to Insight ...

High Noon has new management.. The Seibert's have already made a lot of changes and it shows. Some of the staff have left and the new staff are friendly, courteous, knowledgable and professional. Any "cronies"; that may have been there before are gone. If you've had a bad experience before, try it again. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

We just bought some new handguns and went to High Noon to try them out. The front section is basically a gun store. In the back are 12 lanes for shooting. The cost is $12/per lane, stay as long as you want, plus another $8 if you share a lane, so it cost us $20. There were two people working there and both were very friendly. The man who checked us in to the range was an older fellow. We told him that we had never been to High Noon before and he explained the rules. He certainly focused his schpeel on my wife and assumed that I knew everything (which I didn't), but he was not condescending, and we certainly did not get the impression that he was snickering at us while we were shooting (as the other posts mentioned). In fact, I don't see how that is possible to know anyway. The shooting area is behind two closed doors with no windows back to the front. Anyway, the place is decent and we will go back again. You can only shoot pistol rounds here, or small (pistol) caliber rifles (e.g., 22s).

My husband and I checked out High Noon, as we were in the market to buy either a shotgun or handgun. There were several cronies hanging around the store, not sure whether they were regulars or cronies, but they were expert at watching and monitoring every minute of my interaction with a salesman. I found the atmosphere very condescending, for example, when I asked a question about the safety mechanism on one of the handguns, one of the cronies smirked at me. When I was checking out the sights on the weapon, another had to ridicule the way I was holding my hands. I have several years of military experience and am sure to have fired weapons larger than they have seen, not to mention firing rifles since I was 9 years old. Overall the experience was uncomfortable and sexist and they lost a sale. Yes, I purchased my shotgun elsewhere.

The Cronies are watching you.

I took my wife to High Noon to teach her to shoot on a Sunday afternoon. Besides my wife and I, there was a man teaching his college aged daughter how to use a handgun, a man working with his teenage son and several others on the range. When my wife and I were finished, we looked around the shop for a short time. While we were looking around the shop, we overheard the owner talking to several other people. He was talking to two men who appeared to be Vietnam Era veterans and another gentleman who was a regular customer. The group was watching and ridiculing the people out on the range and referred disgustingly to them as "amateur hour." Listening to these men made my wife very uncomfortable because she knew they were probably ridiculing her shooting also. Needless to say, we will never patronize High Noon again. Unless you are a professional (or enjoy having yourself or loved ones made fun of) be cautious about this establishment.
