I brought my husband's suit to be dry cleaned, knowing that it was possible it couldn't be done the same day. The person behind the counter confirmed that, and said "if you'd brought it in earlier today, I could have done it."

Me: "Oh, I understand...we had a death in the family last night, and this was as soon as I could get here."

Him: "Well then, you should have planned ahead and been here first thing this morning!!"

No, "I'm sorry for your loss" - No, "I understand, I wish I could do it for you"...just rudeness over his idea of what I should have prioritized in my grief.

If I have to mail out my dry cleaning in the future, I'll do it to avoid going into that establishment again.
