At James Child Development Center, we promote the development of the total child. Our center is dedicated to providing a developmentally appropriate program for children from birth through thirteen years of age. Activities are planned to stimulate the social, emotional, physical and mental growth of each child. Each child's unique individuality and special needs are incorporated into program planning to help them develop to their fullest potential. Our programs are developed to expose children to a variety of stimulating experiences conducted by a trained, professional staff. The children are encouraged to think, speak and participate in a variety of activities to help them grow in independence, learn to give, share, and receive affection, learn to get along with others, learn to develop self control, learn nonsexist human roles, begin to understand one's own body, learn and practice large and small motor skills, begin to understand and control the physical world, learn new words and understand others, and develop a positive feeling about one's relationship to the world. This center has come a long way. I really love the staff and the kiddos love it too! Will definitely continue to send my child here.

DO. NOT. BRING. YOUR. CHILD. HERE.!!!!!!

The owner is extremely rude. He has threatened to take my child out of the daycare center twice all because I have asked legal questions while I am dealing with a custody battle. This owner also called the police on me and lied to the police saying I was violating an order when I simply asked for my child's file (a copy of it) so I could take it to court to straighten out an issue I was having with the father. He literally kicked me out because of it and I had to get my attorney involved. Bill James (the owner) is clearly biased and a one-sided and unprofessional individual who doesn't deserve any other explanation where his actions are not included.

I understand there are two sides to every story and if I ever disrespected him in anyway (including his staff) then he would have a somewhat valid reason to be rude to me but this wasn't the case. This was a legal reason that he refused to cooperate in and I am warning all potential customers to be aware.

It seems like such a nice place to bring your child- but it isn't. Take your baby somewhere else. I know once I (hopefully) get this straightened out- I definitely will.

I gave this center a chance. My child was there for two weeks and I pulled him out in a heart beat when I just couldn't take it anymore. There are walk through areas that are very unorganized and cluttered which are unsafe environments. The school age room has a TV in it, and although I'm okay with the TV, the children are forced to watch the TV during certain times of the day such as after lunch (when school is out) and in the evenings an hour before closing. I would pick my child up at 5:40PM (they close at 6:30) and no centers were open except for the TV. The "teacher" sits at the front of the room and yells at the children sitting at the TV from across the large space. Also during the mornings and the evenings, the chairs are stacked upside down on the tables. My child was running around the room with both shoes untied and metal chair legs poking up. The "teachers" were very unprofessional and respond to behavior with time out as their first response.

I wish Mr. James was nicer to talk to. I was dissatisfied and won't be returning. It is not a daycare I would consider taking my grandchild to.

I wish I could give this 0 stars. The head man, mr. James is rude, condescending, dismissive, and finds excuse for every complaint. My son was sent home DEHYDRATED, and had multiple undocumented injury reports for biting and bruises. I have picked him up multiple times with a full diaper, both urine and feces. He has had diaper rash often even though I had ointment, and the staff took him outside with a fever, and couldn't even identify dehydration symptoms, considering they are first aid and cpr certified. Multiple occasions I walked in to the TV on, in both morning and evening. They claim to be a development center but he never brought anything home to indicate development (I'm a teacher), no art, no projects, pictures, not even a coloring page!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.
